Meet the LGA Team

Connie J. G. Gersick, Ph.D.


Connie J. G. Gersick, currently Visiting Scholar at the Yale School of Management, was a professor of Human Resources and Organizational Behavior at UCLA’s Anderson Graduate School of Management for 17 years.  Her research interests include women’s career and adult development; women in Asian business families; and the effects of time and deadlines on project teams. She has won a number of national awards for her research publications on group work and change processes.

Connie is founding faculty director of the Women’s Leadership Institute, an executive education workshop at UCLA. She has taught adult development, organizational behavior, and group effectiveness, both for MBA students and in executive training for such groups as the Citi Women’s Leadership Development Institute, Simmons’ “Leading Edge” program, and The Head Start-Johnson & Johnson Management Fellows Program.

Connie earned her Ph.D. in Organizational Behavior from Yale University where, before entering graduate studies, she was Director of the Office on the Education of Women. She lives in Connecticut with her husband, Kelin. They have two married children and three grandchildren.
